Manifesto
IDAS’ Origin and Ethos:
Birthed from the very act of introspective questioning;
Surrounded by nothing but his own values, desires, aspirations, all in their rawest forms;
Authenticity-to-self lays the very foundation of IDAS.
Introspective Mission:
We act as a reminder, a redirection of said user's attention to themselves. Offering what we can, we hope to help people embrace their personal mythologies and aid them in their own process of evolution.
An effort to preserve craftsmanship.
A renaissance revival.
Idealised Domain:
By paying self and mutual respect and by abiding by the ethical and moral values of all those who participate, IDAS will ultimately forge a community of like-minded people and build a lexicon of shared experiences.
Social Responsibility
While we build physical products to last, we also believe in sustaining human dignity. IDAS’ logo is derived from the handwriting of a homeless man in Barcelona - one of many individuals who participated in Homelessfonts, an initiative by Arrels Fundació.
This organisation works to support people experiencing homelessness, offering housing, healthcare, and pathways toward autonomy. Homelessfonts transforms personal handwriting into digital typefaces, restoring not just visibility but a sense of authorship and value to those often overlooked. All proceeds go directly to funding their efforts.

Sustainability
At IDAS, all the horse leathers we use are only derived from those who pass naturally of age.
With the help of LEDER FIELDER, we are able to work with rare and ethically produced articles such as “Blattwerk” for our footwear uppers, developed originally by Heller Leder (known for its partnership with PORSCHE) in Germany.
The “Blattwerk” tanning process utilises a natural tanning agent called oleuropein, which can be found in the olive leaves left from each year’s olive harvest.
There are absolutely no dyes (natural or artificial) used in the finishing of olive leaf-tanned leathers. They are left in their natural, open-pored state, and some have added protection by using real beeswax.
Heller Leder’s devotion to sustainability has led them to become the first tannery in the world to receive the Blue Angel Eco-Label for its entire upholstery leather collection, and also the first tannery in Europe to achieve GOLD status from the Leather Working Group audit.
